April 2020 Financial and Goals Results

April is over and one of the worst months of my life. On my Birthday my Mom went to Heaven to be with my Dad. She got coronavirus about 7 days before she lost her battle. She will be deeply missed from our family plus many other people that she touched their lives.

Currently now 35 states are starting to open back up but here in Arizona we are one of them that extended our shut down until May 15th. Everyone has different views on this topic. But we feel we need to get the economy up and going before many businesses close up and retirees lose their retirement dreams.

Our dividend stocks are taking a hit. Some reduced there amount and some have suspended it until the economy comes back. We may have to tighten up our wallets more.

We did get a stimulus check this month for $2,900 but that isn’t enough to cover a normal persons expenses for a month. We took our money and bought more stock with it.

We are still planning a Graduation and going into the Navy party for Logan at the end of the month and then a trip to Minnesota. Let’s hope things are opened back up.

We are still golfing here in Arizona and we still have Golf League every week. All the people at golf courses and grocery stores you wouldn’t think we are in a shut down. It seems more like a spring break for people to go out side and do stuff. Crazy. Let’s open up business again if people are going outside anyways and doing stuff.

The boys are happy that school is on line now. But they aren’t happy with having to stay inside all day long. Most things are shut down here in Arizona and it looks like they will stay that way through May 15th now. It got extended again.

Logan will miss out on many of his Senior Year events like Prom and probably Graduation ceremony. This shutdown is affecting Logan’s Navy training and weekly meetings. Plus, effecting Seth’s Basketball skills. LOL
