Being positive on the golf course or to yourself is something you will hear me talk about so much because I really believe in it. If you have been watching the golf tournament on TV you can see it in the reactions of the Pro’s when they hit a bad shot, they don’t let it bother them, they just plan out their next shot. We can use our minds to help us on the golf course and off the golf course to be more successful in life and have more fun.
If you have ever been in a situation weather at work, home, or somewhere in between where someone was very negative you know how frustrating it can be. Attitudes are contagious and as a business owner being positive pays.
Having a positive attitude is the first step to being successful. If you think back to your childhood, most of us have read and are familiar with the story, “The Little Engine That Could”. The story describes a small blue train whose motto is “I think I can, I think I can”. Well, as a home business owner I want you to take it one step further. Your motto should be, “I know I can, I know I can”.
Simply being positive is a great way to kick start your home business. Here are a few tips to remember when you feel negativity creeping up on you.
• Smile. It sounds silly, I know but simply stopping everything you are doing and smiling for a minute has been proven to lift moods and bring positivity.
• Breathe fresh air. Taking a walk, breathing in fresh air, and letting the sun shine over your skin are all activities that promote positivity. Consider scheduling a midday walk to freshen your spirits and lighten your mood.
• Invest in a stress ball. Having a stress ball or textured ball, Playdoh, or even Silly Puddy on hand to play with, squish, or toss in the air can aid in bringing stress levels down and happiness up.
Other factors like a healthy well balanced life style including nutritious food and regular exercise can help you maintain a positive attitude. However you do it, weather you smile a lot, take midday walks, or invest in a stress ball it’s important to check your attitude regularly to make sure it’s a positive one. As a home business owner positivity can make all the difference when it comes to the success of your business.
