Have you ever co-signed on a loan for someone before? If so, how did it work out? I have had many friends that co-signed loans from student loans to personal loans for their kids, relatives or friends and some of those loans they ended up having to pay them off. I co-signed on a couple of loans and they both worked out but at times I lost sleep worrying about getting stuck paying for them. I tell myself I won’t put our family in that position again.
Weddings are a fun and very emotional time. They can also be a very expensive time. We get all caught up with the excitement of the event or party and can lose control of the cost if we use a credit card instead of paying cash.
What a wild ride of a year we had but it was a fun year. When I look back it is hard to believe we stuffed so much in to it. We had a lot of visitors to our house and we visited them in the summer. We lived life to the fullest and isn’t that what life is for.
How does the word “No” have anything to do with reaching your Financial Freedom Goals you may be asking me? It is a huge factor, I think. You need to be able to say “No” at times to be able to stay on your budget and disciplined to reach your goals.
Winter is here in Arizona now. We have Snow up north and our morning temps are running between 40 to 60 degrees. Burr.. LOL At least we don’t have to shovel any snow in Mesa where we live.

Life can be stressful for everyone at times depending on how we see things or let things affect us. Being Retired or working towards being Retired Early can be stressful at times if we let it be. I know I am not perfect and have been stressed many times.
Businesses have Mission Statements for what they stand for. Why don’t you have one for yourself and one for your family? We have a Mission Statement for our family in our family room. We review it every six months. Each family member has input in it and we can change it at any time.
Asking for deals or for a cash discount isn’t always very easy for a lot of people. My parents never talked about this subject when I was a kid and I don’t remember ever hearing them ask for a deal or a discount. Now I think about all the money they could have saved during their life time.
Some people may have done odd jobs or had a small business as a kid. Myself I started going to my neighbors in the summer months and asking if I could mow their lawns. Then in the fall months I would go back to them and ask if I could rake their leaves. Then in the winter months I would go back and ask if I could shovel their sidewalks and driveways. Of course, those were times I lived in Iowa and not in Arizona where I currently do.
