Do you ever feel you are behind a tree like the above photo when wanting to get things done? Many people I have worked with and myself included have felt at times that there isn’t enough hours in a week to get everything done. It can create a lot of stress on yourself when you feel you aren’t able to get to everything you want to.
Back in 2001 was a time that I really felt a lot of stress and wasn’t accomplishing as much as I wanted to. Then a friend of mine suggested I read the book called “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey. An awesome book that I suggest to everyone I work with and my family to read it and use it.
I break Clock Management Tips into four main areas listed below:
Each of the above areas I will go in more detail in the future. But I would suggest having a daily, Monthly and Yearly Calendar book with you at all times and to schedule time each day for what you want to get done. Schedule times and make it happen.
Some of my friends give me a hard time for my Calendars that I carry with me. I currently use a company called “Day-Timer” for Monthly calendars. But next year I think I am going to another brand that cost less. Some of the same people that give me a hard time also say how are you able to get so much done. It is making time and sticking to it.
For instance, I have a blog schedule for the year. By doing this it helps me to keep my websites fresh and keep content coming for my Patrons and supporters. It is easy to day a day off, then it becomes two days, three days and before you know it you may not have done something for weeks or months. Like Exercising, if it is important to you to do then make sure you have a scheduled time to do it daily or weekly depending on what your goals are for exercising.
Myself I have goals for my relationships, health, finances, education and other areas. So I need to make sure I schedule time for all my important goals to achieve them and balance in my life. If you need help in this area please reach out to me.
