January 2020 Financial and Goals Results

January was another exciting month. Isn’t an exciting life what life is all about. We had many emotional rides this month for sure. It will be another month that will go down in the record books.

First, we started House shopping back in Minnesota because Darlene was wanting us to move back to Minnesota to help out our folks. Mom had a Surgery just a week ago. Dad is recovering from Hip Replacement surgery also.

Once we did Pros and Cons and talked with Seth. We decided to stay in Arizona for now. Darlene did book a trip to go back home in February to see everyone. So, she is happy about that.

Family and Friend’s we will be seeing each of the next five months. February Jay is coming for a week to play some golf. March, we have Missy coming to have a girls’ trip with Darlene. Then in April our Aunt Sister Monica is coming. In May Tony is coming to Logan’s Graduation and Party, plus we will get some golf in. Then in June we go back to Minnesota and then off to an Alaska Cruise with our Folks for 8 days. We will be in Minnesota for about 10 days also. So we have some busy times the next six months.

Wait it gets crazier. Logan has signed up for the Navy. He takes the Medical and Written tests next week to see if he qualifies for Bootcamp. If he doe’s he would go to Bootcamp in August in Great Lakes, IL and then graduate in 8 weeks from then. So we would have another trip to IL to see his graduation from the Navy Bootcamp. Then he will be deployed for 5 to 6 years if everything works out.

This will be a big year with his graduating High School. Then if he goes away to the Navy. Then Seth will be starting High School. Ohhhh, I see more gray hairs coming. LOL

January wasn’t a bad month even though we had some higher expenses than last year. We spoiled the boys some and bought a outside swing for Mom and Dad when they come down next.

I would also say the definition of insanity is believing you can live a financial responsible life without tracking how you are doing, having a budget and goals. I like following others who track their finances to compare our also. I enjoy helping people with their finances and goals.
