May 2017 Financial and Goals Update

May was a warmer month with the Arizona Summer fast arriving. The good thing about May is the Golf Courses drop their rates a lot. The Golf course we play a lot goes from $59 in the winter to $21 during the week starting May 1st.

May was busy also with Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and the boys last day of school. So the boy’s summer break begins and the local Pool opened up. They have a swim pass there for the summer and went every day it was open since school ended. Seth really enjoys it and looks forward to seeing his friends. Logan enjoys it also but also enjoys his video games. Logan also is finishing up an Online Algebra class this summer. His goal is to be done by July 1st. Tyler comes then for a few weeks to visit and then off to the Midwest for a few weeks with us.

Stock Market was up and down for the month. Some people say to sell in May each year and some say ride it out. I didn’t sell any stocks in May. My stocks ended down a little but RE Wife stocks were up a good amount. Our big purchase for the month was a new bed for Seth. He was happy and got a new pillow also. Lucky boy. LOL Also this month we got hit with our Auto Insurance 6 month premium. We also bought new tires for our Lexus. So an expensive month but we held our own.
RE Wife is still doing a good job with tracking her expenses. She had the best month on Food expense even better than April. We have been eating less with the warmer temps and also working on our Diets. June should be even lower hopefully. I keep selling more stuff also that has been in the garage and office for a while.
