Customer Service is a major Key to Success for any business from online to having a store front. How well do you train your employees? I grew up mostly in the Grocery Business and we bleed Customer Service everyday.
Employees were trained to care about the customer. Help them in anyway. We would greet all customers with in 10 feet and see if they needed any help finding anything.
We didn’t let them wait in long lines at the check stands. If two customers were in line we called up another checker. We tried to have a bagger for each checker. Especially when busy.
We helped customers to their car if they needed it. We even helped some shop for their groceries. We had a drive-up lane for them to pickup their groceries if they wanted also,.
We don’t see any of that down here in Arizona. We even had high standards on keeping the shelves and floors clean. Including the moldings and price tags.
We wanted the shelves stocked neatly front to back with labels facing out. Rotation was a key also. First in first out and we checked dates daily.
