Another crazy month here at the Mills Way Family. We were sad to see Mom and Dad bead back to Minnesota this month. We drove them to Texas and spent the night before heading home. They went on to see relatives in Kansas City before heading home. Our drive to Texas was one of our worst in the last seven years. We drove in heavy Snow, Winds, Fog and Rain. We had times we were stopped on the Interstate with the motor shut off while we waited for traffic to move. We are planning on Flying more in the future then driving back home.
We did get hit with some more major expenses and some of you may say that is part of home ownership or life. I say it sucks. LOL We ended up buying a new fridge after our old one broke down for the third time. Then we had an Electrician out to work on our Ceiling Fan plus some other small home repairs. Hopefully we are done for a while.
Logan is still doing his college program at night and working at Home Depot during the day. He was sad this month after him and his girlfriend broke up. Maybe they will work things out down the road. We are still trying to encourage him to take more action towards his education and future.
Seth is doing good is school and in his relationship. We are getting to know his girlfriend’s family better each month which is cool. We are having them all over in about 4 weeks. We are looking forward to it.
I played golf with two different friends from Minnesota this month which was fun but costly. Golf is expensive in the months from October to April. But it was worth the cost to spend time with Jon and Tim. I also met some new friends in Florida and Montana that I hope to keep in contact with.
As always, I am not giving you any Financial Advice and you should seek advice from your Professional Advisors to see what is best for your situation. See my Disclaimer at MillsWay.com. This is for entertainment only.
This month we got our Stimulus money which helped with our Fridge and other expenses that were not normally for the month of March. We also got our first Covid Shots this month and waiting for our Second Shot. Logan gets his Covid shot in April. Some of you may not believe in the shot but we want to be prepared if the Airlines require to travel or to attend big events. Taxes are done for the year also but cost us an extra $99 due to our Digital Currency trading.
Stock Market was up and down this month which made me dizzy again. LOL But when all the dust settled, we still ended up so that was good. We did sell some more individual stocks and bought more EFT’s this month. We also converted more of our IRA to a Roth IRA. We are getting more conservative the older we get.
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”. By Albert Einstein. I would also say the definition of insanity is believing you can live a financial responsible life without tracking how you are doing, having a budget and goals. I like following others who track their finances to compare our also. I enjoy helping people with their finances and goals.
